Vin de Pays des Cotes Catalanes "Cote Est" 2009

Tank fermented and super crisp despite its oily texture, this blend of grenache blanc, chardonnay and marsanne make for a well balanced, easy drinking, lovely wine. Although it is Cotes Catalanes, it is from the larger region of Languedoc-Roussillon in France.  A region known for its warm days and cool nights it lends itself wonderfully to the wine.  Like we said, don't think too much about it, just enjoy it as the perfect end to a day in the garden.

meet the winemakers

Jean Marc and Eliane Lafage
Although only in his thirties, Jean-Marc Lafage already has almost 15 years of worldclass winemaking behind him. A European winemaking superstar at the moment, Jean-Marc lends his expertise with Southern European varietals to several top estates in both France and Spain and also in South America. However, his best work is perhaps at home at his estate, Domaine Lafage, in the hills of the Roussillon with his wife, also an accomplished winemaker.
