CICCHETTI

Pronounced chi-KET-tee. They are small snacks served in Venetian wine bars and they are so good! We have a seasonal rotation of tasty treats available to go with the wines in the shop. Of course, salt cod brandade reigns supreme in the Veneto, but the selection is vast and we change them seasonally.

And the best part about cicchetti is that they are traditionally accompanied by a small glass of white wine, which the locals refer to as an "ombra" (shadow).

We seem to be getting known for our savory tortas too.  Handmade flakey crust, local veggies and artisan cheese. Have a slice, have two or take home the whole thing. We won't tell.
